“The Rug” - (wore a horrible toupee) turned around and grabbed a FAs breast in the cockpit. Said he didn’t see her standing there. Failed so many checkrides, Flight Safety called in the feds... they pulled his license in the sim before he ever advanced the throttles for takeoff.
“Nature Boy” - also known as the “juicer”. Ex Delta fruitcake from SLC who walked into the TEB Hilton breakfast wearing a speedo and flip flops. Vegan/holistic medicine man, only drank carrot and tomato juice. Tried to land at the wrong airport twice... forced to retire.

"26 Steve" - flew with a guy who had a record of being on the road for 26 straight days. When we flew he was on day 9 and was so ****ed off when scheduling sent him home (day 10 was going to be Labor Day).
"The Tank" - used to bring a gaming computer (NOT A LAPTOP) on the road and hook it up to an FBO monitor to play World of Tanks during sits.
"50 cent" - used to tip drivers $0.50
"Backpack Gary" - didn't bring a rollerbag on the road, just a backpack. Only wore 1 uniform for the week and would wash it in his hotel sink every night.
"Brill Lyle" - was convinced that the company had tried using his Ipad to monitor him in his hotel room (this was during the contract negotiations). Would leave his Ipad with the front desk of the hotel on overnights. Would subsequently get to the airport with an Ipad that was low on battery.

"The Tank" has to be my favorite. I was a gamer when I was at NetJets and I've played at a lot at FBO's. But I had a $2000 gaming laptop that did just fine. Intel i7 with Nvidia 970M CPU. I can't even begin to imagine dragging a desktop system on the road. That's totally nuts. It's easy to bring cables if you want to hook the laptop up to an external monitor.

NetJets if you don't mind the longer wait for upgrade. When you see the upgrade numbers remember no one was hired from about 2008-2015 so soon as the last furloughed pilot gets upgraded the years will go way down. NetJets offers better pay, benefits, and working conditions and you have union protection. And right now the Union has a very good working relationship with management.
