The place is paradise... but last I'd heard (old info), was that they were trying to get rid of the expat pilots and hire locals.. I can't imagine many people have those quals though. I'm guessing if you're an experienced twin float guy with those quals, they'll make you a DEC, but all other FO jobs go to locals.

We ARE hiring expat FOs as well. The more experience the better. Salary is dependent on experience. At 1500 + TT you will make 2300 USD per month on average per working month. 3+1 rotations and free travel and accomodations etc.
Captains make from USD 5500 to 10.000 per working month. No income tax.
2 year contract.

I'm german and I have about 2500 hours TT (FAA ATP)... but no turbine time and just about 10 hours float time.
I have visited the Maldives twice a couple of years ago and really loved it. That's why I applied for a FO position about 2 years ago. However, nobody was hiring at this time or just locals...as somebody mentioned here earlier.
I'm the assistant chief instructor at my flight school, studied 4 years at a university, have worked as a travel agent for a couple of years and also worked in implementing customer relationship software, building websites etc...
I've worked and lived in different countries, including islamic countries and never had a problem adjusting to different cultures.
I have a couple of questions and I hope you don't mind answering..
Could you tell me, if you think i could get a chance for an interview etc..?
What is the estimated hiring date? And how many pilots do they plan on hiring?
Is it possible to get in contact with some of the pilots over there?
Thanks for your time (and hopefully an answer)

CP,
I tried to send you a PM, but it didn't work. I'd like to talk to you about getting a resume to you. I'm a former Navy pilot, float rated, A&P, and lots of multi turbine time.
Are you able to PM me?
