The captain didn't seem too upset. The profile into LA is just a really long final. It was severe clear we could see the ocean from over PSP. Not too much work for the PM at all. I've flown with a few people who handfly below 180. I have no problem with it. The autopilot can be deferred you better be able to fly the airplane.

Where does it say we have to fly in RVSM? I've done four legs with the autopilot deferred. Eastbound at 270 and westbound at 280.

That is just awesome my friend... RVSM starts at 290 last time I checked and yes you need the A/P engaged.
