Hello Captjohndoe,

Thats the first I heard of being able to adjust your schedule with more days off.
I thought that AJX/AJV was firm on only 10 or 11 days off per month?

I have 4200 TT, 3200 fixed-wind, 3100 jet, but ONLY 2700 jet if you don't count military time.

So, I am trying to confirm that my mil time (heavy, international) doesn't count, and I'm below the 3000 threshold.

Have to hope I can hold on for at least a year here, if the mil time counts as 0.

Please confirm.

Thanx!

Unfortunately, I think that is true. I was asked specifically in my interview and once again after I got there if my times included military time. I don't know if it is the company that will not allow it or the JCAB but I think what you were told is correct.

There are guys here that have been given the option of working part time. You have the option of 15/15 for 75% pay or 10 on / 20 off for 50% pay. As of right now, this is only being offered to people who have finished their first contract ( been here more than 5 years). If something comes up and you need extra time off (new baby, emergency, etc), they will usually give it to you without pay. They are a little bit more stingy with time off right now because we are so short on pilots.

Couple of questions about the sim ride.

1. What does the FLCH do on climb and descent in the 767? On the sim profile @ 1500 AFE you select FLCH ON and A/S to 190 KIAS.

2. On the first takeoff you stay at flaps 1 and 190 kts for the visual pattern. For the next 2 engine takeoff and V1 cut do they want you to select flaps full up or stay at flaps 1 and 190?

Thanks

Any chance of jumpseating to ANC or ORD and banking the $2000?

FLCH (flight level change) maintains climb or descend at the selected speed on your speed window, I know that the profile in the checkride packet specifies 190kts but this is because it is a fix weight of 260K during the evaluation and the speed doesn't change, 190kts happens to be at this weight VREF F30 + 60KTS this speed will give you best rate of climb single engine at that flap setting. You should stay at 190kts and flaps 1 during the entire checkride, you are not doing yourself any favors by going fast. Remember the sim eval IS the interview

Good luck, it is a pretty sweet gig

You can also use your 24 vacation days 2 days at a time thus increasing your days off to 12 at AJX and 13 at AJV

Thanks.

One other question. PARC recommends taking the limousine bus from Narita to Haneda and then a cab to the hotel, Tokyo Inn. Is that the best way to get to the hotel or is there a better alternative?

Default Any info please

It would be nice if someone could add some detail about the medical and the tech written.

What do they do for 3.5 4.0 hrs in the medical?

Some more info on Tech question would be of great help.

My interview end of this month.

Cheers
