I noticed long reach aviation advertises paid insurance for pilot and family whereas CAE/Parc only mentions insurance available. Which is most reputable in everyone's opinion? Thanks all in advance.
I feel as a US based pilot that Crew is the best. The health insurance by far the best you will ever have offered. I have absolutely no complaints on them after 5 years.

Thanks for that. I have that application filled out and ready to submit. If you don't mind, how much would I expect to pay for the insurance for myself and family?

That's the nice thing......you don't pay for insurance, they do. And, being with Crew myself and having a family, it's the best insurance you'll probably ever get.

As a side note, been flying with some of our management lately, and latest numbers I was told is they want 300 pilots online at AJX. Bad thing right now, new guys are getting denied some vacation time because of staffing issues. A lot of flying and not quite enough bodies I guess.

Good luck, and be patient when you apply, it can take a while.

How many pilots does AJX have now? Also, was wondering if anyone knew how many aircraft Air Japan has on property? Wikipedia says 30, but not sure if that's accurate. Are those aircraft crewed by only AJX pilots, or do the ANA guys also fly them?

We are about 220 now and I think the number they want is about 400..., at least that is what we have been told in the training department. But I have to advice everyone to the fact that ANA doesn't really share their plans with AJX management.., a LOT of what the suits tell us is their best guess. The simple truth is that we just don't know where this ship is headed, we are just feeding coal down in the boiler room without portholes

AJX doesn't have a single A/C...., all of the airplanes we fly are what they call "shared hulls" these are all A/C that are flown on mainline ANA and they assign them during their rotation to do AJX flights..., the cargo flights are mostly flown by AJX pilots but you will come across mainline crews flying them as well.

Interesting. So as AJX grows, does that mean mainline ANA pilots will be doing less and less 767 flying? ...Until all the 767s are flown only by AJX pilots?

No portholes in the boiler room compadre..! All we know is our roster for the month.

What kind of utilization will ANA decide for us or how it will look like, it's impossible for any of us to predict.

Like Dom mentioned, no one really has any clue as to where we are heading. The signs for today are positive though, we shall see. Come here for days off, positive space business class commute, one of the best free healthcare (Crew) programs in the industry and a descent paycheck, that's pretty much the only guarantee for now ! Oh and of course the beast, 76 !

Can 1000 Turboprop be substituted for the 1000 Jet requirement?

There doesnt seem to be a lot of interview prep resources online for Air Japan, any suggestions? Is ANA the administrator of the interview and sim evaluation?
