There are many things they still do here in Japan that make the dark ages look advanced

Last I heard from an HR guy here, they want 48 new hires this year. They are conducting interviews every week, and I think we just had a new class start today. Good luck!!
Thanks for the info. Were you asked any questions or given written test during the prescreen? Or did you just fly the sim?

It's just the sim ride during the pre-screen. After passing the pre-screen, the big song and dance is in Tokyo.

Almost two months since someone last posted huh? Well let me contribute by saying hello. Proud to say I've read all 117 pages of this thread, it only took me a few months. I'd like to thank everyone for all their insight in the interview process. I recently, as of last week, submitted my app with PARC and just waiting to hear back on a possible interview date.

So here are a couple questions I have:

Although it may seem silly, are tattoos that are not visible in uniform frowned upon and are they a potential disqualifier? Its located on my shoulder.

And lastly, I recently had a friend apply through CReW and did the little one on one with them here in the states before sending him over to Japan. Ultimately his experience with them is what led me to apply with parc. Im very familiar through this forum, the differences of both. So experience pretty much boils down to this....when time came for the sim eval the instructor asked him where he was coming from (emj fo). The inst. told him that regional guys have a hard time over there and that he would never make it. This discussion took place before the sim ride. My friend opted to rent two hours in a 76 sim before this eval down in miami and the feedback he got from the inst. there was nothing but positive. When he did the eval with crew he said he kept within ATP standards at all times. When all this was said and done, they told him that they weren't going forward with his app.

My current communications with parc is giving me the impression that I wont be doing a pre-interview to the interview in Japan. In any case, whats the end of 2014 looking like at AJX? Continued hiring for the foreseeable future I hope?

Me: 4300+ TT, 3000jet, 300pic to jcab stds.

Thanks guys

Nope!

The inst. told him that regional guys have a hard time over there and that he would never make it.

most of the classes that I have seen have at least two former regional drivers in them...! The regional guys have been making it to the line here consistently for years now.

In any case, whats the end of 2014 looking like at AJX? Continued hiring for the foreseeable future I hope?

We have absolutely no idea where this ship is headed.....!

I did the summer pre-screening with CREW in Las Vegas and was not selected to continue. The profile was similar to what was sent in the packet, but the sim was a 757 so the speeds were different than what I studied.

I applied with Parc and they said I don't meet the qualifications.

I keep meaning to fill out the Rishworth application, but haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

1DayA320, did you get your interview date yet? One of the guys at the CREW pre-screening that I attended had also applied with Parc and waited three months or so for an interview date with Parc before applying with CREW. He got the CREW pre-screening invite the following month.

It is a very long process to get in. I submitted application through CREW in April, interview Jun 2, and leave for training Nov 7!

Default Future pilot!

Hey everyone , I am sorry I know this post was regarding pilots who already completed their training and job offerings in Asia but I am just starting and have a question. I am from South Korea and I am trying to decide on a flight school. I have looked at so many and I have decided to complete my training in the USA. The FAA training and the safety makes me feel comfortable a a student. I have been looking into some schools and a school named Epic in new smyrna beach florida seems like the best fit for me. They were very helpful and have approvals from aviation authorities all over the world. plus they have the G1000 which my friends tell me is important to learn. I just want to be in the position as you guys are, applying for jobs and want to know what schools you attended? Have any of you studied at Epic? I am very close to beginning my training and wanted to see if there are any other schools you experienced pilots would recommend me to look at, because I have done a lot of research of schools and Epic academy looks very good.

Thank you for any help you can give me!!!
