Default Delaying class date or putting application on hold

Hi

I am a permanent resident in the USA and I am in the process of getting my US citizenship. Process which could take up to a year, maybe less maybe more. If I move outside of the USA before I get the US passport I could lose my resident status in the USA

I want to apply at CX but I would like to know if I could put the application process on hold or delay a class date if hired if I dont get my citizenship before moving out of the USA.
Is it possible?
thanks

Why not a US base with CX?

Speak with USCIS and ask them if you had to go out for work would that matter. I think you can be granted a waiver if travelling for business. The training is about 4 months on average for FO so I think you would still be safe. If I remember correctly, you would lose it if you were out of the USA for 6 months. When in doubt ask them, I am sure there is probably an associated form and FEE for it as usual.

Have you appled to CX yet? If not, then you should be safe since it takes around a year from app. to class if you get hired. Either way you should be good to go.

Good luck.

yeah, I was going to say the same thing.. if you read the CX gouges, it seems to take least one year so if you're just applying now you shouldn't worry.. plus I don't know where you are in the citizenship process, but it won't take more than two years at most. (It took me 23 months and I applied in one of the busiest INS centers.. nyc!)
