Any word if the regional airlines are going to lower their mins, and accept those who qualify for a R-atp? |

ATP-R and "1000 hour" exception?
That's kind of the feeling I got from it. I have a few friends banking on the ATP-R exception. But by the time all the fine print it sorted out and the regionals perhaps start hiring ATP-R's I think all my friends will be well past 1500 tt.

Anyone who is close to 1000 hours will be able to get to 1500 hours and a regular ATP a lot faster than waiting for the FAA to sort out and publish approvals for various aviation degree programs.

I don't know if that's true- I got a job offer from a regional and I only have 1100. I know I won't get to 1500 by the end of the year at my job, since flying will drop off for the winter. All the airlines I talked to have been willing to at least interview me with the hopes that the FAA will have a quick turnaround.
