CFI at Embry Riddle, or a local fbo?

Yes the new rule proposes just that. Though, the FAA hasn't made any final recommendations so who knows what will actually happen. I do believe that it only requires training through Multi-Commercial and some sort of Jet Transition course. Only would apply to 141 programs attached to universities that have been deemed "worthy" by the FAA.

Couldn't agree more.
Seems to be a strong preference for FBO or other schools. I can't believe the price at Daytona! Is that really 20k? I hope you don't pay that much, even if it is really your Dad!!
There are enough flight schools out there that will hire you, as long as you are a good CFI. There is a sort of increased demand out there due to foreign students being trained in US. I doubt you will need Daytona to hire you. Save your money man!!
