University Flight School Decision
So I am a senior in HS, deciding between two universities - Indiana State University and Embry-Riddle Daytona Beach. I was just looking to hear some opinions you have about these, especially Indiana State, as I already have read plenty about ERAU. Any other advice is welcome.

None of the above.. instead spending 4 years and lots of miney, go to a mom and pop flihght school / flying club, get your hours and start instructing. You dont want to work for an airline 4 years down the road with 100k$$$$ debt

Go the cheapest route.
Graduating with a bunch of debt sucks, and trying to dig yourself out of debt on flight instructor pay sucks even more.
I went to a big state school and I wouldn't change that for anything. Best four years of my life.
Now I teach at a private university and it really saddens me when I think about my students who have probably accrued more debt by the end of their freshman or sophomore years than I did in my entire 4 years of in-state tuition. They have absolutely no idea what they are getting themselves into.

avoid ERAU at all costs, and I will throw UND in there as well. I would suggest Purdue, or MTSU. I am a UND grad and still owe above 38k 12years later. Do yourself a favor and get a degree in Business or engineering and get your ratings on the side. So when you realize that making 22.50 an hour at your first regional you can toss in the towel and go get a real paying job.
