Eagle Jet vs. Gulfstream Academy
I went down to KFLL on a free flight on gulfstream international. Bobby Pinto is the pilot recruiter there. To make it short Its cool if you have the money to blow and the time. Of course it doesn't promise you a job. So yesterday a man name Richard Gabor of Eagle jet international called me and we spoke. To make this short it seems to be just like GTA but with coolier planes ( lears, falcons & etc.) But what is the difference between the two and is it worth the money to spend to attend one of these academies? And Rick said if they like ya and do good in training, he will hire you

I have flown with a lot of eagle jet fo's. most are foreign and poorly trained. some (few) are excellent and eventually get hired as captains. Not to mention the cost of 100 hours at Eagle Jet could get you through your CFI, CFII, MEI training plus plenty of beer money left over. Save the cash and go somewhere else

I worked for the guy who started Gulfstream after he retired from the airlines. Great guy, but with a shelf full of Cuban cigars and owning three nice airplanes, he and Gulf did pretty well as a pay for training airline.

I'm guessing you're talking about Thomas Cooper. That piece of sh!t was a genuine scab. The only captain seat he ever had he stole by crossing the picket line at Eastern. This industry would be a better place if guys like him were never in it. What the hell is the matter with you? He didn't retire from the airlines. He was black-balled.

I would think that it is unlikely conversation between employer and employee on a regular basis. Maybe you should cut someone you don't even know a little slack and hold your vinegar for the object of your contempt instead of asking jsf "what the hell is a matter with you".
I might start off with "hey jsf......if we are talking about the same guy, do you know his background?"

Mr. Davis be careful. Any type of PFT (pay for training) operation such as these is not a very good thing to be involved with on your way up the pilot ladder. You can see this thread has gone all of 8 posts and it is already getting hot which is typical of PFT debates. Most pilots are radically opposed to PFT on principle and if you perform PFT then you will be alienating a LOT of pilots in so doing. It amounts to what most pilots feel is a black mark on your background, and it will travel with you much like a DUI or a felony. There are better ways to get into the industry and you are going to be a part of the pilot community longer than you will ever work for a single company.

Don't pay to fly. You will just contribute to decreasing terms and conditions. I heard some employers these days will subtract your time at a PTF outfit from your total time. Eaglejet has a training deal with Ameriflight and the "FO" can be bumped off flights for cargo.
I could go on and on about my disdain for P2F

Yes we are talking about the same guy, but no I didn't know anything about his past other than who he worked for and I barely saw him. I'm not trying to offend anyone by who I worked for and not knowing their background, just wanted a CFI job. Guess I should remove that place from my resume?
