Default Help! What online university is fastest.

I am looking for an online program to finish up my BA. I have an AS in aviation. I have worked for two 121 carriers. I have a type rating and around 7000 hours. Are there any universities that give you credit for work experience. Flight Hours etc.. Thanks for the help.

Can't tell you about online but I went to Broward College in FL and they do give you credit for having so many hours like that and 121 background and having an ATP Cert.

Check them out.

ERAU has an online program and will give you 30 credits for just having an MEI. If you have an AS in aviation, they can probably transfer most of those credits too.

Thomas Edison State College offers credit for FAA licenses.

I understand you need a bachelors degree and the aviation degree will most likely be a faster track but at least consider a degree that has utility outside of aviation. Perhaps a major in a different subject with a minor in aviation? Have a backup plan! Just a thought! Best of Luck!

Embry-Riddle will give you 36 credit hours towards your B.S. in Professional Aeronautics if you have your CFI, CFII, MEI with 500 hours as a CFI (OR) a Multi-Commercial Instrument with 1000 hours of PIC time. I got 36 credits towards my B.S. and finished my MAS last year. The B.S. courses are easy for you as a pilot if you take all the Aviation Safety courses and minor in it.

I started off at Utah Valley with about 25 hours from a community college. Within one year I had 99 semester hours. The format for the courses were great, easy to use, etc. I haven't taken any classes with them yet but Mountain State University is also now offering online aviaiton classes. Only difference between them and UVU is MSU wants you to earn your certificates through ATP but is not a requirement to.

All in all though I was very happy with my experience with UVSC or now UVU.

If you don't mind the religious slant, you might want to look at Liberty University School of Aeronautics...$295 per credit hour unless you have a military connection, its $250
