If he's flying with a constant speed prop he can fix that - never pull it back from max RPM. He might even make a slight bonus over clock time depending on the engine. Heck, you can probably even accomplish the same thing with a fixed pitch prop if you cruise climb it.

Operators who insist on junk like this are cutting off their own nose - you're giving people an incentive to ride the equipment hard and put it away wet.
