I've posted info here before, but it's been a little while. A few CFIs and I put together a site geared towards helping pilots prep for their checkrides.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us! I came across it last year before my instrument, and used it for both that and the commercial SEL rides. Helped me a lot as far as preparing goes. Only question I have is is there a source like this for prep for the multi engine ride? Since there is no specific PTS for it, I'm having some trouble finding a good source that shows the standards we need to meet for it.

Off your instrument portion of the guide:
"Review of the FAA requirements to act as PIC under IFR flights. 6 Approaches, holding and tracking within 90 days. How to get current again if you are not."
Are you talking about the 6 calendar month requirement for currency of 6 approaches, holding and tracking?
or is 90 days accurate and you meant landings?
Or just something I'm missing?

why not just use the PTS? Everything is right there in black&white.
for one thing, as an example, there is absolutely no guidance as far as weight&balance calculations are concerned in regards to the cross country planning task on the website, but the PTS is crystal clear.
if it's not an FAA document, i never used it as a reference when i was instructing...way too much mis-information out there.
