Prairie Air Service

Prairie Air Service
Finally I have 47.2 cross country PIC time. The 250 n.m. trip should take care of the 50 hour cross country requirement for the IR. Now I can focus fully on the rating. I live in PA and I've heard a lot of great things about Prairie Air Service here on APC. Seems like a pretty good outfit with great pricing. I am thinking about going there after I get my instrument rating. I don't want to quit my full-time job, but my plan is to make several trips down the road to get the rest of my ratings (multi engine, commercial etc.) Since there hasn't been a post about this school recently, I would appreciate if any of you could provide me with some info. Also I would like to know what the best way is to obtain the rest of my ratings if I were to go there (without having to quit my full-time job, yet). Thanks!
I have plenty of vacation time acquired and I could save up $ for a multi-engine rating etc. and take a week off, fly over, get the rating and come back. What do you think?

Blast ahead. Herb Pello is an honest guy, good all the way to the bank. He has got that Apache-Geronimo twin he has in fine shape as we speak and Slice will attest to that. Are you still there, Slice? I am not quite sure of anything of late.

Anonymity is a nice thing, Pearl. However, if you choose to do the trip you speak of with Herb Pello, then drop me a line. I am more than willing buy pizza and beer at Old Chicago in Old Town if you do.

My goal is to have my IR by the end of the year and after that Prairie Air Service sounds like a great place to get the rest of my ratings. Thanks Cub, I will definitely let you know if I do decide to go that way.
