Thumbs up Flight Schools New Zealand

Evening Guys

This is my first post and hopefully you guys are the ones who can help me.

I will be gaining my JAR PPL from the UK very soon.

I am thinking of doing my CPL / Frozen ATPL in New Zealand.

Can you please suggest schools that:

Follows the JAR syllabus.

Recognised in the Oceanic Aviation Industry.

And also if I need to change from JAR to JAA what do I have to do and its financial implications?

You comments shall be highly appreciated.

Thank You

Try Southern Wings in Invercargill. Southern Wings - Flight Training and Tourism Charter Flights, Invercargill, NZ

It tends to be a bit cheaper being in the far south. Also there will be very few distractions to your training. (I can say that as my wife is from In'Gill) Good equipment as well. I've spent some time with them when I'm in NZ visiting the in-laws. Shoot a note to Tony Dawson and he can help answer your specific questions.

Cheers,

We're mainly US, have you looked at PPRUNE? They have a whole Aussie/Kiwi subsection.

Good Point...look under the section "Dununnda / Godzone". Take what you read with a grain of salt. Lots of *****ing, bashing and general complaining over there. You can find nuggets of good info if you wade through the rest of the garbage.
