The Flight was $150 Bucks to fly out of Republic airport in Long Island New York. I fly a Cessna 172. The freelance instructor told me his fee is $40 bucks and to expect to pay for dual instruction about $185 - $190 is this a normal price for dual lessons in Long Island New York? is there room for negotiation. Ive seen on some sights cessna for 120 bucks. I assume the instructor is getting if for cheaper that what is advertised on a website to the general public. I think $185 $190 is too much and I dont really believe his fee is $40 bucks if this is the price. I want to negotiate, but at the same time understand that this is his bread a butter and its a business.

In Essence,

What is a normal price per hour for a Instructor to rent a plane from a school or private own

Cessna 172? $$
Peper? $$

I dont want to get ripped off. Like when buying a car, if someone says they want $4300 for a car, u can give them $4,000 and they will take it. what is the margin of negotiation for dual flight price in republic airport Long Island New York

Please help :-)

If money is an issue, STAY AWAY FROM AIRPLANES. They will bleed you dry. If you are willing to accept the fact that this is an expensive industry to be a part of, then get ready to have some serious fun. But you MUST be willing to accept the costs.

The eaisiest way to make a million dollars in aviation is to start with 10million.
