Default multiple languages more pay?

About 9 years ago my sister wanted to be a flight atendant. So she interviewed a family freind how was a flight attendent for Lufthansa at the time. She mentioned that some of the requirements are that you speak at least german and english and would get paid more if you lerned even more languages.
So latly I've been wondering if the same were true for pilots. Does it pay to know more languages? Or does it give you any other types of advantages?

PS: Hope this is the right place to post this question

Well, since English is the international language of aviation, and there is no "Norwegian Proficient" line on the certificate, it's not going to get you anything extra from the company. That being said, being able to say "good morning" and "thanks" in 6 or 7 languages helps clearing customs.
