X-country Hrs For Commercial??
do the 50 hrs of PIC cross country time for the instrument rating count also for the 50 hrs PIC xcountry time required for the commercial?
or do you need to get 50 more hours of xcountry pic time after instrument to get the commercial?

Time from previous ratings always applies to new ratings, unless the aeronuatical experience requirements specify something that the old time did have...ie dual XC from student pilot days cannot count as XC PIC.

Are we talking single engine or multi? 61.129 says things like "One X-C of atleast 2 hours in a single engine airplane in Night VFR conditions, consisting of a total straight line distance of more than 100NM from the point of departure and...
Theres also a 300NM one in there with a few landings.
The OP should read 61.129 and then go back and make sure your flights meet the requirements. To answer the question, yes, previous flight time counts as long as it meets the requirements of the appropriate reg.
There is also a few clauses about "Performing the duties of PIC for the multi and an Airship.
