Any Flight schools for sale?

Look into contacting the owner of stowe/minuteman airport in Massachusetts. The airport is 12 miles west of one of the busiest class D corporate hubs in the northeast (KBED) and just around 20 miles west of KBOS.
They are trying to turn the place around and make it up and coming in a sense and would probably be a steal. They have multiple hangars and business spaces available as well as cheap fuel and a restaurant on the field. The owner sent me a letter a ways back asking me to open a flight school there or refer anyone who may want to. It has 2 runways, 1 VERY short grass strip and one relatively short paved strip. It can be a handful as it is situated between some tall trees and is narrow with a steady crosswind but I flew a twin in there all the time since our MX hangar used to be there. There are more instrument approaches within a 10 minute flight then you would know what to do with, DME ARC, ILS, RNAV, WAAS, VOR and even PAR.

From a flight instructor's point of view based out of Bedford, you might want to reconsider unless you plan on knocking down some trees and building a longer paved runway aligned with the prevailing winds.

You might want to consider Quonset Point/ North Kingstown Airport in RI. They are building a new hanger and FBO and it has a control tower. The airport is not that busy either, just a few C-130's Army Guard Helo's and Corp Jets. I know they are really pushing to make that an up in coming airport.
Some things to take into consideration is that Providence's Class C Airspace is above the Delta airspace and some students might bust the two way radio requirement. On top of that there is another flight school on the field that has already beaten you to the punch. I believe it is Cindtronix Aviation. They might be willing to get bought out.
From what I understand that airport could be like the next KBED, in that it serves the Providence area while not having to deal with the Major airline traffic.

I used to teach at KBED and our MX was at stowe. It can certainly be a handful at times but students learn to work with what they have and would adapt. My local airport is a 2000 foot grass strip and people train out of there all day in 172s and larger, take a BED student up there and it would be quite intimidating. Point being that you learn to get comfortable with what you have. I flew our seminole and super decathlon and other fleet airplanes in and out of stowe regularly and it wasnt too bad with all the tree clearing and work they have done.

still looking for a school
I own a 141 flight school in the northeast, great location, great airport. Established program with links to college aviation program, so constant students are available. Funding established for students. VA approved. Part 135 certificate included. Quite profitable, just under six figures a year. I need to sell due to a career change with a conflict of interest in owning this school. Very reasonable price. Contact me if interested. Will still be available in area for assistance in easy transition, just can not be owner/operator for much longer.

Is this school still for sale? I am interested in buying a 141 school and moving it south! Message me if it still is up for sale!
