Default ATP Check Ride ?'s

I am going to be getting my ATP certificate, at ATP in Dallas, in about 2 weeks and was hoping to get some insight on the check ride, especially the ground portion. Is it big on instrument charts? Systems? Regulations? Thanks for the insight all.

um, chances are the answer is going to be in the books that you used for your other certificates...the PTS and Oral Exam Guide

It depends a lot on the examiner. But yes everything is fair game. One thing to stress on though which I think is what you are asking, would be know the aircraft inside and out. I say that because the examiner will know doubt know you have limited time in the aircraft ATP uses. A lot of guys go there thinking why should I know all this stuff cause the examiner will know I am just doing a check ride and that is the last time I will fly one of these. But that is where they get you. Impress the hell out of them and know all the charts for the aircraft and know the lims back and forth and know what every switch does and I STRESS know ALL of the caution lights and what they do. LOL as the saying goes ask me how I know.

Be prepared for an in depth oral. Get the everything in English book and study it cover to cover. Have fun!

I don't understand what you are saying about capitalization...and I have the PTS for the ATP and it does not really seem to have a knowledge portion like the other PTS's have laid out.
