Not free housing though. But very cheap. The school rent out to their instructors for 250 $ a month. Very cheap, you don't get any cheaper in the close to the airport (walking distance). I have seen around and lived there as I said. The appartments close to the airport are BAD, and now I mean VERY BAD. And they cost 600 dollars a month, for one room. You can get nice houses if you want to purchase one and live 10 minutes away.

The staff is nice. They arrange a buffet, where you pay like 5 dollars and you can eat as much as you want. Really nice system.

I posted this in the other thread:

I would stay far away. It seems like their attrition rate for instructors is VERY high.

Default hhhmmm

hhmm......90% you dont say!

Sierra WAS a paradise, but now its just a dump, if a student busts a stage check, you dont get a pay check. I really wouldnt call what you guys are in now housing, but is a step up.The reason they still exisit is beyond me, id see there king air parked in hayward all the time (in the spot calairs old twins used to sit) and rashid, joe, and one of yoon bafoons would be talking with some FAA types. As a CFI in this market, you are still worth more than they pay you, and as of now they are serving some of the small regionals of china, because they lost the contracts for the bigger ones. (accprding to peggy early this year)

STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE

be wary of IASCO redding to, another flight school that says they can do it for cheaper by making there CFI's work for minimum wage. Also a ex sierradise "manager" showed up, and its only a matter of time until the land monster starts screwing it up over there to.

Welcome though

Ugh..failed online job searches make my brain bleed.

OP: Anyone know about this school?
1st reply: It sucks, the planes have no wings and you live in a dumpster
OP: Oh, well that sucks. I won't apply
2nd reply: It rocks, you get paid $100 an hour and all the lobster you can eat
OP: Awesome, are they hiring. I want to apply
3rd reply: They will rape you
OP: Thats what Ive heard. Guess I won't apply
4th reply: After 5 hrs tt you move up into a Citation
OP: Sweet, maybe I'll apply
5th reply: Forget it, you'd rather sleep with your sister
OP: Ugh, I don't know what to do except keep asking questions and reading 3 year old posts. I'll just wait a few months and start a new thread with the same question

Plane makes 'beautiful' emergency landing near Hickman - Local - Modbee.com
Cessna aircraft turned upside down at Turlock airport - Breaking News - Modbee.com

It doesn't surprise me that N152RT was the plane that had the engine failure. I remember that plane always having problems. One time on climb out the engine did this really big cough which freaked me the heck out. After I landed I wrote it up but like 2 days it was back online. I wonder what they did with it after it landed in that field...
