A piece of advice: the media knows next to nothing about how the industry works. The only people who know less are the flying public. There are 6-figure jobs out there, but they are harder to come by now. You mentioned the difference between education costs and pay. This difference is the reason most of the other guys here are telling you to spend the least amount of money you can. There's no need to pay through the nose for a brand new Cirrus, when it does the same job as a Cessna, Piper, or Diamond.

I somewhat regret getting a degree in aviation management, I think it would have been better to get one in Business admin., but oh well. May I ask why a 777 by 40 insted of just flying for a job?

It's important to have goals. Realistic ones at least.

I would settle for just having a flying job as long as I could pay off the loans. =S
