ATP new price increase
Beginning in October, the price of the Airline Career Pilot Program (ACPP) will increase to $54,995. This price change is the direct result of increasing ATP flight instructor pay (by 25%) and including Regional Jet Standards Certification ($5,995). ATP maintains an up-front pricing policy, and never charges more than the cost quoted at the time of scheduling.

It was $44,995 in April. What a drastic increase!!!
I am extremely excited that they decided to increase pay for the flight instructors. Way to go ATP!!! Who else will follow? I think you are crazy if you flight instruct for less than $20/hr.

but you have until 12/31/07 to start and still get the old price of 49,995.

So, ATP is raising the cost of their program to give you an RJ course that most folks say is worth nothing...for free. Nice.
Funny how they will pay the ACPP guys, the 90 day wonders, $1600/mo guarantee and "other CFI's" only $1200/mo. If you went to a small flight school for your ratings and ATP just for your CFI's (as I've heard some folks talking about wanting to do), you get paid $400/mo less guarantee. Not sure what that's all about...
It is nice to see CFI's getting a raise, though.
My guess is the price increase has a lot more to do with Diamond Jets and fuel costs than giving CFI's a $4/hr raise and a free RJ course. Hasn't the RJ course been free to ACPPer's for a while now?
Auburn Aviation. For your second post, this thread sounds like an ATP management news release. Do you work for ATP?

haha....negative. I am not affiliated in anyway to ATP. I was thinking about going but due to the price increase, I am no longer going to attend. I am now leaning towards Ari Ben Aviator. Does anyone has any opinions on them? I researched them, but did not find to much information. What I know thus far is:
35,995 plus 2500 for writtens/checkrides/material
250TT= 200multi 50single (215 PIC)
Pvt Multi-MEI
2.5 to 1 Student to Instructor ratio
1 year Flight Instructor Contract= 35,000 annually
ANYTHING else would be much appreciated.
