Understandable...PMed ya back. Yeah 363 had its problems - like saying the freakin' callsign! lol. I can see why ya liked 65U then. :-p Pilots and their autopilots. I thought some were gonna cry if they got a plane that didn't have GPS. That didn't seem to happen much though.

Yeah...it definitely makes you a better pilot in the end. Always remember the basics. I remember on my IFR checkride he wanted me to fly a GPS approach...I asked him if we could do the NDB-A instead since we have one where I come from and our planes don't have GPS so I wanted to test on something I'd actually use. He asked if I was insane...told him yep. :-D I know you've seen the guy around. He agreed to the NDB, but still wanted to see the GPS. So I said screw it and just did the VOR that he wanted after. Still think the NDB is fun.
Did you ever head over to the Bahamas?

Ya, according to the new PTS standards, if the GPS in the plane is IFR capable and current, you have to demonstrate it's use. I had to do the NDB approach on my checkride... hated those things...lol. We were not able to go to the Bahamas while we were there, but did make it down to Key West (almost every night...lol), but once during the day. Got to go to Jimmy Buffet's restaurant and had my picture taken at the most southern point of the US. It was a blast. I hit as many class C/B airports while I was down there to prep for my interviews though... turned out to be great practice and the hiring board even mentioned the B/C experience as being a good selling point on my part, I highly recommend it to anyone thinking about going down there.

Ah...didn't know you HAD to use it, just that it was something they could test. Actually...now that you mention it...yeah, I knew that. Oh well, wont ever use it again. lol. Maybe I'm the oddball who likes NDB's. Weird. Anywho...
Never made it to Key West. Bahamas was nice, but that was also prior to all the passport bullcrap. How was Jimmys restaurant?

Restaurant was great, there are several other Margaritavilles around. The best one I've been to is in Orlando.

Nope. I hated that b*tch from the day he married her...I hate him even more now. She's been so good to me, now I'm 418 miles north and can't drive down there. Where's that darn flying lawnchair when ya need one?

Lol... well.. that's funny. Just hope those winds are favorable so you don't end up in Iceland...
