Ground Instructor - superseding???

Ground Instructor - superseding???
I have no intention to take the BGI written exam however I do have a question...
I have completed the CFII and IGI written and when I am up for my CFI written I intend to take the CFI and AGI... However lets assume hypothetically speaking that one already had a BGI before taking the AGI...
Once the AGI is in hand - will it cancel out and replace the BGI on your certificate???
So instead of saying:
Basic Ground Instructor
Advanced Ground Instructor
Instrument Ground Instructor
it would just state:
Advanced Ground Instructor
Instrument Ground Instructor
am I right on this? You guys/gals help me out here...

Your certificate will say Ground Instructor: Advanced. The advanced ground instructor can give ground training for all certificates and ratings, flight review, or an endorsement for any knowledge test. So the AGI is all you would ever need as a ground instructor.

Ground Instructor is the Certificate type, the rating is either Basic or Advanced. Once you get your Advanced, it will just be a Ground inst certif with Advanced Ground and Instrument Ground Ratings.

AGI vs BGI
Just Call your FSDO. Ask for the Duty Officer for Operations. Tell them what you want to be written on the certificate. They will tell you exactly how to accomplish it. Besides its a good way to start developing a working relationship with them.
