Default American Flyers in TX

I'm looking for a flight school part 141, and I chose two schools.
One is the American Flyers in TX, the other is the SDFTI in CA.
The American Flyers is more attracted to me but I can't find any information or reviews for this school.
There is an airline academy course which could be ended in 7.5months, it's very compacted and fast track. And also, it's little expensive more than any other flight school.

Does anyone have experience in this school? Could you tell me about this school?

American flyers is one of the best schools out there. Texas location is the largest location with two campuses.

Everyone I know that goes to Flyers and does their crash course CFI program are lacking instructional knowledge. 4/6 of them also failed their initial on their first attempt. These people went to Addison and Morristown.

Be careful with the pilot mills.

I have no knowledge of their longer programs, but I spoke with them about finishing up my Instrument rating the the prices were horrific.

What do you consider "horrific"? We talked to them about finishing instrument and getting comm at the same time. A bit pricey maybe, but not really out of line compared to any other estimate we got.

Solo C172 $225 per hour

Dual C172 $260 per hour

Ground instruction $90 per hour

This is what I was quoted. Way more than I ended up paying. This was 2017, rates might be different now.

I contacted them about a PPL finish up (I have about 30 hours, just xc and maneuver polishing left) and they quoted me 9,000-10,000 to finish a PPL. 235/hr solo, literally double what I pay normally.

I just went back to check this against what we got from Amer Flyers a while back: sim: $145/hr; dual 172: $270; ground: $100

Yeah, ouch. But then we got a quote from our local FBO/flight school...

sim: $155/hr; dual (diamond): $274; ground: $67

Double Ouch. It is ridiculous. There has to be a better way.
