Would they be paying over industry standards for those employees? Probably for 98% of them, yes. Is that a super enticing carrot to dangle to prospective employees, as well as a great way to drive retention? Also, yes.
I would wager over.
How many got added from Constant? How many got added from Flying Colours?

Technically speaking, the information I can find online says 4000 +/- across the companies
I know there is a difference if you wanted to say it's DAC or Flexjet as the owner
But the thing is, that we all share the same benefit's, same insurance, same 401K company
That's were I don't know for sure how that plays into one set of employees getting an increased match and not everyone across all the companies, or just strictly the "Flexjet" companies.

Is the yearly bonus a max of 20% for CA’s and 10% for FO’s? Are pilots able to use yearly PTO to increase pay?

Thanks.

I believe its 10% FO, 15% Phenom CA, 20% DRL but I could be wrong.

I am curious with the new pay and hour requirements if FlexJet is getting the applications? NetJets is hiring around 30-40 pilots a month. What is the hiring like at FlexJet with the new pay and hour requirements?

a manager here told me that the quality of applicants has gone way up. We have classss twice a month thru fall that have ~15+ new hires each. The goal is to be at 1400 pilots by EOY, but with attrition slowing down (for now) we’ll hit that sooner than expected.

again, this came from a manager, so there’s probably a little bs in there, but looking at the seniority list it seems fairly accurate.

not sure what the census for new hires looks like. From the pictures they send out, it appears to be more senior type folks in the classes.

I agree, Id say more than 50% of the new classes are retired airline guys. the reason they increased the hour requirement was to try to weed out pilots coming as a stepping stone to the airline so they stay longer than 1-2 years, now I fear it will just be a stepping ston to REAL retirement. I wonder how long retired airline CA will stay sitting in the right seat of a Phenom (or any starting airframe for that matter), Slinging bags at 65+, 10+ hour duty days, cleaning and stocking cabins, its a different job than they were used to with their seniority! The only difference is they dont neeed to find a new job to quit so it doesnt matter that hiring has slowed everywhere. Not only that but AT BEST CASE, most of the airline retirees will only be around for a max of 5 years. At least hiring younger guys, now that hiring has slowed everywhere, maybe some of them will make it a career destination and stay for the long term. Its an interesting proposition and Ill wait to see how it plays out, but if I was a betting man, when the dust settles, Id say attrition from the new pilots will be no more than 2-3 years on average (regardless of the hiring market)

I was at NJ in 2016-2017 and we had a big problem with retired airline guys not lasting for much longer than 1 year.
I went the other way to a Part 121 carrier on the Airbus and can say from personal experience that the 121 gig is waaayyy easier than NJ!

As a retired airline guy, I will say it's really frustrating trying to get specific days off on Flexbid. Way too often, it lays work days right on top of my few requested days off. It is a whole lot more work than the airlines--figure 16 extra days a year (13 bid periods vs 12) and the 4 leg days being more frequent here than the airlines.

The organization here is MUCH better than at the airlines. Sure there are constant changes to your daily schedule (best not buy those tickets to the baseball game in the city you were SUPPOSED to be in tonight...) but hotels and flight plans get switched seamlessly. At least you don't end up at 2 am in Tulsa trying to get the Biz Hero app to get you a hotel closer than OKC (AA, I'm looking at YOU!)

I still enjoy the flying and the trips. They people I fly with are great. We get fed way too much and if you have a specific meal request, it usually gets delivered.

Just my $.02.

Totally agree with the fact that the fractional world was way better organized than my current airline.
The biggest piece that I miss is the greater ability to make sure my pax have a great experience than I currently have.
