I had an interview that was cancelled back in December when they changed it.
A guy I recommended showed up with 2500 hours and some SIC time in the GIV. ATP written. They wanted him to have the ATP before he could get an offer. They were a little disorganized (which is rare from my experience) when communicating with him. He had been over the top up front with recruiting prior to his interview and did well.

He never really got a straight answer and he starts class with Netjets soon.

Moral of the story is, if you show up with less than 3000 hours, you'd better have your ATP in hand.

Make sure you slip Antecedents into the conversation during the interview. Brilliant!

I know they are giving interviews to MIL pilots with 2500tt, but think they are pretty set on the 3,000tt if non-MIL. Having said that, given you have A320 time, I'd still drop an app and see what happens. Worst thing they can say is thanks, but ket us know when you get closer to the hiring mins.

Right on, thanks. The pay rates seem off on APC when compared to the FlexJet pilot brochure. Anyone have the latest pay rates broken down by the various schedules (8/6, pbs, etc)?

Those rates haven't been updated on APC.

First year FO is $751 per day. Add to that $1000 per quarter ($4000 year) for fuel bonus. Up to 10% (base pay) per year performace bonus. $18000 a year deferred compensation per year (paid out in 3 years). A little overtime here and there.

Can you please explain how the performance bonus and fuel bonus is calculated? How reliable are those bonuses, sometimes they aren’t paid? What’s the $18,000 deferred compensation based on - a retirement type of compensation? So after three years you get a $36,000 lump sum?

Thanks

the performance and fuel bonus are kind of frustrating in that it’s not well documented in how they’re calculated or paid out. Basically fly the profile/speeds and you should hit the fuel bonus. If there’s flights that are fubar’d (ie going to NY in the afternoon on a spring day full of tstorms), the pic can email someone in ops to get that flight waived.

for the perf bonus, it pays out end of Q1 the following year, but frankly I have to idea how it’s calculated. Something to do with aircraft uptime and crew availability. There’s no way to track how you’re doing against the targets. Most ppl ignore it, and if it shows up then great. I think if you assume receiving 50% of that bonus each year, then you won’t be overly disappointed.

deferred comp: think of it as vesting. At the 3 yr mark it vests quarterly. Each quarter you’d get $4500. It can be put towards your 401k, or taken as cash (but taxed…unless you’ve already maxed your 401k contribution). Again, it’s not very well documented and there’s some ppl frustrated with the “vesting” concept. Is it great? No. Is it bad? No. It’s designed as a retention tool.

So after 3 years you stop receiving it?
