There’s no way this is true. We have a union, you can’t be fired for giving two weeks notice.

According to my ALPA rep company had no obligation to you once you give your notice.

True, last job I had they removed me immediately when I gave notice. Flex is a much more toxic place than that was, so I'm expecting them to fire me if I give notice. I probably will resign immediately. I hate doing that, but if I ever go someplace else I don't want to have to explain why I was terminated. And I wouldn't put it past them to imply I had done something wrong.

Hi Chesty. I am with Flexjet and noticed your question on here. Short answer is, no this is not the case. Last day worked is last day worked. I feel like this may have come from someone who attempted to list a last day worked that was a few weeks past their last day actually worked. My guess is it was to gain additional benefits while not actually working for the company. I hope this helps.

We'll create a forum for folks like yourself that have questions about Flexjet. Feel free to ask and we will answer.

Of course that is no longer the case! Pilots now know work up until the last day then call in sick and run out the two week clock. They then send in their badge and phone by mail while they are in indoc for the next company.

Fool, me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Wow, so now you had to create a screen name to ward off the negative press. Things must be a lot worse than your leading on. I guess not enough “qualified” candidates or the Pilot shortage that The boss claims doesn’t exist is real!

At least you don’t have to worry about having to give 90 days notice per the company manual and then sweat being fired during that time for some unknown reason they’ll never reveal to you. Just another tool to enable an operator to try and collect on a promissory note or enable them to tell your next employer you’re not rehirable because you were in breach of contract. Yes, operators like this still exist somehow.

For those that actually are fired (except for some circumstances), there is a silver lining....you are eligible to apply for unemployment benefits. Otherwise, you generally would not be eligible unless you were laid off. If you have a couple of months off before that next job starts, unemployment payments could come in handy.

And I think there might be some negatives for the company if people are granted unemployment benefits after being fired. So if for no other reason than teaching the company a lesson, absolutely file for it.

No shortage of candidates, just wanted to clear the air. Thank you for your insight.

Clear the air? With lies? Everyone knows we can’t hire. Even NJ is having trouble hiring. One of my buds flew Flex CEO MS the other day, he confirmed they can’t hire anyone and we are loosing 10 pilots some months. The Phenom fleet especially has been decimated. We are currently 70 pilots short in that fleet, and we average 20 un-crewed airplanes on any given day.

Anyone doesn’t believe me just use FlightAware you will see that OPT Phenoms are sitting all over the place for weeks at a time.

Why would ANYONE want to work at this place. Because the end result of all these un-crewed airplanes is those of us who are still here are whooped like rented mules to meet the schedule. Why on earth would anyone want to sign up for that.

So keep telling your lies Flexboy, everyone knows that’s what they are.
