So 54 credit hours in a 4-week bid month, then 68 in 5 and 81 in 6.

In practice it wasn’t ever reduced as much as the 54/68 floor. It varied widely fleet to fleet, with some feeling most of the pain and some none at all. Clearly not the intent of the language but when has that ever mattered to the company? I was (and still am) on the MD in MEM and found it made very little impact on me. I still think it’s a good provision to prevent furloughs, but needed the tweaks it got and probably some more.

I’m sure someone remembers better how long it was in effect. I’m thinking about a year.

i wasn’t here then, but folks on the Bus make it sound like it was a pretty big cut.

So- this is inaccurate. As I recall, the Bus & 727 were hit the hardest. I was on 2nd year pay on the 727 panel and I can guarantee you I had many months under 60hrs. Close to/at the new min guarntee. As I recall it went on for just under 2yrs, but that I cannot recall exactly. I can recall the pain though- that left a scar. I’m always amazed when you hear someone say it didn’t really effect them. Goes to show it was not applied evenly amongst the crew force.

With that said- I was very grateful for the provision in the CBA. Without it, I am 100% sure I would’ve been furloughed during that time period.

Which is what I said - it wasn’t applied evenly and some fleets (specifically 72 and Bus) felt the pain while others felt less or no pain. And, as I said, not the intent of the language but that’s how the company did it. Like they do most things, however they want heedless of the CBA. I’m not sure if any lines ever went as low as the 54/68 floor, or had to be bought up to them. You mention going below 60, but not as low as 54. Personally, no, I didn’t feel as much pain because the 11 didn’t go quite as low, although we definitely took a hit. I just looked at it as working fewer days at the same pay rate. Hopefully the tweaked language will prevent that uneven application if/when it ever gets invoked again.

And then there were some of us who took the double whammy of being excessed to one of the airplanes that took the brunt of the hit (WB to NB)

Is the extra pay from block over 8/10 already factored into the credit value shown on the bidpacks? Or is that computed after the fact once the flights are operated and then added to your pay?
