How is living in Memphis?
Research, plan, and strategize. Keep doing that as the industry changes. When I got hired a few years ago, 40 seemed to be the age. But now, I can personally say I have flown with an FO as young as 28 here at purple. I'm a civilian background guy and if getting here as quickly as possible is your thing, I would go that route. If you don't get the MD in new hire, you can get it in 3 years max due to seat locks.

All it takes is a little effort and time to research your questions which have been answered over, and over, and over all over these boards. The answers to your questions are all there in plain sight.

Those are great goals but if you want the fastest route then I’d suggest not doing the military route. If you want to serve the country then go that route. If you just want to build time then go the civilian route. You are in the same shoes I was in. I started flight training at 17 and completed my CFI during freshmen year of college. I did my college degree mostly online which allowed me to run a business to pay off flying bills and work my other full time job. PM me if you’d like to chat in detail.

Sometimes I wish I did the military route. I'm a relatively new hire but came from civilian background. Although if I did military, there would have been things in my regular life I could not have accomplished. Both great paths to get to your dream carrier.
