Default Denied trip trade for lack of required trng

Ok, denied a trip trade due to

"DISAPPROVED because
Pilot does not have required training"

I have checked LMS and I am not enrolled in any courses. So we can't pick up a trip on the last day of the quarter because we haven't done the quarterly LMS that isn't assigned? I am not in my recurrent window.

Figured it out. The changed aircraft type and didn't take the pairing out of open time

Had that happen to a friend of mine, who was trying to swap with another crewmember. He called everybody, futures, scheduling, management, simulators, LMS training. Nobody could figure it out, it made no sense. Finally the resolution was that it was a trip that was going to another airplane, and he was going to get subbed on it.

Can you just pick up the trip on makeup and not try to swap for it? It may be hard to tell whether it's an issue with the trip you're on, or the one you're trying to get.

I thought it was strange when open time showed more than one of us tried to get the trip and after the denials it was still there. After awhile it was gone and I brought up the pairing and it showed it didn't exist anymore. Looked at the flight number and it showed a change of gauge.

I've always wondered if 757, 767 & A300 pilots were "overwater qualified"? I assumed that was why they put Check Airmen on those flights?

What is the circumstance in this case?

If the pairing was still there when they denied it - I would have called them on it. My discussion would be - was it a legal trade request and if the pairing hasn't been changed yet then you should not be able to deny my request. It is not your fault the pairing builders don't have their stuff together!
