You HAVE GOT to be kidding me~

[I kind of want to ask if your office off of Hacks Cross has a window, just to see how far up the chain of command you ACTUALLY are, but I will officially not ask that question]

ALPA is a hugely financed union run by airline pilots and FOR airline pilots. They have the best influence in congress of any pilot group, and the press knows them well. We would be HORRIDLY amiss to discuss leaving this group!

....unless you are the COMPANY.

I don't think you are, but I DO think you are scary naive (!) if you think that some sort of independent union can fight off the hordes of labor attorneys that Fedex employs. Alpa leaves a bit to be desired, but it is by FAR our best shot!

I agree with you 200%+++ however, knowing all of that, ALPA need to hire professional negotiators and lawyers to match their conterparts

Just for my own understanding Starclipper, what general seniority are you at Fedex?

He did say signing bonus. At 39K, I've paid far more in dues than that, easy.

Pinseeker - if you say so.
Are you a socialist by nature?
What do you care what I make?
If you're in the ER for a heart problem, do you ask your Cardio-Thoracic surgeon what he/she pulls in annually?

The point has been established. Regardless of signing bonus level and dues expended, all of us paid for this. Do you feel the intense burning level of satisfaction for money well spent on this TA? If so, so be it. If not, then focus on your own business.

Not at all.
Sometimes attributed to Mark Twain, but you'll recognize the quote (maybe):

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
— ABRAHAM LINCOLN.

Deflect and name call rather than explain. Classic. I think I'll vote yes just to cancel your vote.
