USMC,
Don't know how you know your costs are going to go up 100% which is close to 20% /year. I am retired and have no idea what yours OR mine are going to do, but if you are still with the company then you will have some of the best insurance in the country. Medicare is good insurance but not cheap. If you are on tricare you will be doing better than all of us.

I'm not on TriCare and that is irrelevant. Our bargained healthcare options should not take in to account any other possible insurance scenarios.
Pretty ironic a retired guy calling us cry babies. How's that $25K you probably received working out for you? All of us still on property will never see that benefit.
Go away.

From the Majors forum today:
"SWAPA Union President just announced the company and the union negotiators have reached an Agreement in Principle on the new contract. SWAPA BOD will meet 14 September to vote on whether to forward it to the pilot group for a vote."
Will be interesting to read their TA.

There might only be 12 who post, but 250 have voted on this poll. Obviously, they might not all be FDX, but to dismiss the sentiments here as just 12 guys spouting nonsense I think is incorrect. From the few 30 or so pilots I've talked with during turns, I would say the 70% leaning towards no seems to be accurate. The Facebook page seems maybe more like 50/50. Point being, there is a lot of information you will find here and fb that you will not find addressed during the roadshows .

I keep hearing guys on the bus who know nothing about the TA and yet they are eager to vote for it. When I ask them why they say stuff like can't wait for the "bonus", if it is good enough for the negotiating committee then I'm voting yes or they just can't wait to get the pay raise or they are tired of years of negotiating. Let this be a lesson to the union, starting earlier doesn't make the end any faster and it wears out the crewforce, when you vote Yes many people simply just listen to you, and finally quit calling back pay a bonus find some other term more reflective of what it actually is "what we should have already been paid". You need to explain in clear, concise language what the changes are, not just put it in different color font. Can't express how disappointed in the union I am after all this time and money spent they would actually try and sell us this turd as the best deal they could get. Seriously another contract extension with many concessions and a few meager gains and huge long term losses (healthcare costs, A plan still capped and losing value every year) is completely unacceptable to me. Somebody please save us from ourselves.

Too many reasons to vote NO!
In my heart I can not vote for this TA. Scott Larsen caved and has to go , as in the Delta TA. This contract is not worthy of what we do! Besides you never take the first offer, we are in the drivers seat, ie "peak". Even with all the spin , the reality is this TA is crap. I don't even know where to start. Pay, Bonus, Health Benefits, Sick, Substitution, Commuting, Uniforms $50, are you kidding, an extra shirt to spill coffee on! I'm afraid this crew force does not have the balls to say no, and that is a shame. I will look back and say, told ya so!
We are all tired and frustrated to be sure, but FedEx knows that, don't be swayed. Talk to people who know real numbers and then make up your mind. Get involved.
What do u think SLAB will do for your senority? Nothing. We need to move forward even more focused and united. We can get the contract we deserve. VOTE NO
