Sort of like guys bidding a foreign domicile, knowing full well that they were not going to sign the required letter. Just a thought. And I agree, if someone doesn't have the courtesy to let you know their plans, perhaps that's not the kind of guy you'd want to rely on when the hairs get short.

Ok, is anyone actually getting called for interviews off the street yet? I mean, this massive bid comes out requiring 500 guys but I have not seen or heard of a single pilot getting a class date besides dudes that have been in the pool for over two years. So, how do they expect to fill all the vacancies at the bottom of all the seat specific seniority lists? I think it's a farce. 500 in two years! Right!
Someone post something to this thread if you are actually getting any traction at FedEx for an interview AND you came off the street.

All where typed in the 767/757 and had at least a year on the 767/757. I had over 7 years on 75/76
All interviewed between 20 April and May 8th
7 had non-scheduled airline experience
3 had legacy experience
Youngest was 33 and the oldest was in their early 50s.
I don't know the total times but I have 5700hrs.

Dammit, can't you tell that to the crew bus drivers so I know what rumor to spread?
But it will be interesting to see if they can fill a class.
If not, PC and his entire program need to to be tossed out.
Oh, we also need to offer new hires a better career prospect than Delta or American.
AA just signed a new contract with huge pay raises, Delta has a TA about to be released. If the Delta TA has pay rates well above ours, why would anyone come here?
If we are going to hire 500 guys management better make sure that this is a place that 500 guys want to come to work.
Night hub turns and a Hong Kong base are NOT the way to go....

In the Spring of 2011 FedEx recruiting reps said they were going to hire "500 in the next year".
They haven't even hired 500 between the spring of 2011 AND NOW.
