FedEx Hiring

If we were all on the same page, guys at the bottom would get draft calls. There aren't many closer to the bottom than me and I haven't received a nonpeak draft call......ever.

You can't count on it, but sometimes the company trains (simulators) offsite. If that happens, your hotel and transportation are paid by the company.

Or when we lived under 4 A 2 b for almost 2 years when the Company threatened a Furlough? Sounds to me like the Junior folks Life and those not hired yet was better than the alternative.

Don't feel too bad. I'm near the top of my seat and I have never received a draft call. Peak or not peak.

You mean like when The FDX Pilots refused to allow new Hires to fall under a different retirement in the contracts of 2006 and 2011?

I was on the MEC during the 4a2b period. Number one guy pushing against ANY furloughs…JA…the Block 1 rep. The opinions on furlough ran the gamut, but the strongest "hold the line" calls I heard weren't just from the block 8 rep, but from some committed senior folks as well. I don't think calling people in for 2 interviews--one to test then another weeks later for an interview--are the pilot group's problem. I think its a just a snapshot of the culture here.
