Quite different, Southwest still requires 1,000 TPIC. Yeah never imagined FedEx to drop this requirement. Interesting times are coming!

I finished the App today for FedEx and just hoping and keeping my fingers crossed.
Here's a few questions to those of you who may know and any information I would appreciate.
I met with FedEx at the OBAP convention last Fall in Atlanta, Ga. and handed my resume to a representative. He said "fill out the app as soon as the window opens because they will save these resumes for when they open the application window." I was at WIA this month, but I unfortunately came the day ice and snow hit DFW and unfortunately couldn't get a chance to meet with FedEx again and hand my resume in.
I just don't know if they would have held on to the ones from last fall. Does anyone on here know if they would have kept them?
Also, I'm just curious where I would stand for a competitive position and here are my stats and all civilian 121/135 background:
ATP
6,000 TT
5,000 Turbine
2,000 121 TPIC
Volunteer with with company and community service
CRM Facilitator/Instructor - this is not a sim instructor or LCA position.
CFI, CFII, MEI
Bachelors 3.7 GPA
No internal LOR's
Could one say if I may be competitive for what they are looking for?
Also, I saw in the app it asks if you can take Germany or China, but what are the chances of getting MEM as a new hire?
Thanks in advance to all!

Good deal, thanks for the info! Wished I could have spoke to them then. Oh well, all happens for a reason in life.

I am finishing up the app tonight and got to the questions about Hong Kong and Germany. Seems like a really cool deal expect I have kids. I quick internet search shows schools cost about 16K per kid, per year. How do new hire FedEx pilots swing that whole school thing overseas?
I have zero chance of actually getting a job there but like the lottery it is nice to dream.

The company is desperate to fill the HKG and CGN domiciles, but any new hire is not at all required to accept one of those assignments. You can say "Thanks for the job offer, I will wait for a MEM class date."
You are still hired, and will be placed in the first MEM class that opens. Right now they are saying they need people in the A300 in MEM, but they will need 757, 767 and MD-11 people as well.
Don't bite off on two years in HKG or CGN unless you are sure that you can really swing it on first year pay.
