Any elaboration on the strategy/reasoning behind the changes to the training letter?

I wish I had more info on it.

All I know is that the plan, for over a year now, was to split the MEM 757/767 bidpacks (more specifically, not requiring 757 currency for 767 pilots, if I understand that correctly). Now the company has decided not to do that. I think the decision might be tied into the fact that the 767 simulator is still not certified? Other than that guess on my part, I'm not really aware of why we have decided to change plans with the 757/767.

Just out of curiosity. Is there a way to tell what the most junior equipment went to?

Will know next week! The bidding for equipment has not happened yet.

Respectfully disagree. List went out today. Most senior non-MD11 was a 777. Last 3 on list were 767s.

Training dates go out to late Jan for all equipment except the Bus.

It varies class-to-class. The 757, Airbus, and 767 have all fallen to "the Caboose" in 2016.
