That "rule" is no longer a USPS requirement, nor has it been for many years. FDX has held on to that for no apparent reason.

I hope your interview prep is better than your attitude displayed here.
Do yourself a favor...go read anything and everything Albie has ever written. You'll find he doesn't ride high on the horse. AND, you might actually gain a tidbit or two on how to get hired here. He's one of the few on this message board that is a 100% straight shooter all of the time.

If you want, you can send me a PM and I'll be sure to walk your stuff in.

Matty beat me to it.

I don't always agree with Albie (I'll never forgive him for voting yes.), but he has done more to help potential new hires than just about anyone else on this board. Yes, he runs a company that makes money doing this, but he also gives out a lot of free advice, advice that you would be smart to heed if you are not already on the property. If Albie had his company up and running when I was trying to get hired, I would have used his service and it would have been money well spent.

He has, over and over, provided thoughtful insight on a number of serious issues over the years, and is a valuable member of the crew force and this board.

I'm a bit confused why someone who doesn't work here is mad at the requirements to get an interview.

"They" can set pretty much any requirement they want to at least until you get into the ACLU stuff.

Don't meet the requirements, don't apply until you do. Meet the requirements but they make you so mad you won't apply out of principle, that's fine too.

Was thinking the same thing.

It is their company. We are just contractors that provide labor to move their freight from point A to point B. They can do whatever they want with the hiring process.

Please excuse my naiveté, but what do the acronyms ECIC and RST represent? thanks

Had a wonderful interaction with FedEx at OBAP. I've wanted to fly for them for quite a long time.

Does anyone know if they tend to offer interviews from job fair such as OBAP?

They wont tell you at OBAP that you have an interview. You can expect a phone call or email from pilot hiring if they want to interview.
