TC has not voted yes for anything in his life. He is like the youtubers calling for a market or housing crash for the last four years. Eventually they will be right. The others should not have voted for the TA either. However the direction TC took the sheep afterwards is what got us in the corner we are in now. The NC is going for cheap gains now to try and give some hope of a win. Do not need to be an english major to read into their last email that we do not have a lot going for us. Basically having to crawl back with our tail between our legs after pulling out of negotiations in the spring.

My favorite thing so far about the update has been the Silent Minority's focus on the CPAP instead of realizing how far behind we'd be on pay rates on upcoming openers if TA1 had passed. Not to mention being the laughing stock of the industry with having given up a pension willingly for 30k. Clown show.

Ths is the classic post and indicative of how our junior folks feel. "the laughing stock of the industry" - why do you care what others think about you? Honestly - if there's a problem then point it out - this shouldn't be a big d**k competition but for a certain demographic it absolutely is. This is why we are screwed.
The company lied that they intended to hire into the forseeable future, the union was busy bagging up a pile of crap, and meanwhile the places that they turned down or left have outpaced us by miles. Their reaction is not too hard to understand - I think I'd feel the same way in their shoes.

Envy and jealousy is driving our contract now?
Envy- It is in the character of very few men to honor without envy a friend who has prospered.
Envy and jealousy are incurable diseases.
Glad this is how the JF Instagram crowd makes business/life decisions.

I think it's because most of the junior folks could literally have gone almost anywhere. They were sold a bunch of lies and thought they picked the best job in the industry based on those lies. Most were hired while FDX was printing money and hiring like gangbusters and simultaneously on the precipice of what circumstances and statements dictated would be the best contract in the industry.

Fighting for your future? More like following a lemming off the cliff. TC suckered all of you into thinking he was the great savior. You read the lastest NC comms? Did sound so Braveheart inspiring charging up the hill for a big win. Company already knows we are a bunch of simps, they follow JF and APC.
Go ahead a wait for some number you dream about, by the time you get it the majors will already be a contract ahead and ahead on money again. Every day we fall further behind. Hard concept for you to grasp.
Raj and his NC realize how great a position they are in. a Union led by nonstop polls that have wishes for pink ponnies and rainbow skittles. Meanwhile they are saving millions a month.
JG did not sound so confident on some big scope win. More like we will be lucky to keep what we have.

The fix to not being behind on the money is with what UAL and AA did, a snap up clause. As for scope, unfortunately, we are so far behind on that (way farther than we are on pay rates), itll be difficult to make it up all in this negotiating cycle. In order to get either of these things though, will depend on a vast majority of us stopping this incessant complaiing about TC, the past MEC, delays, polling, etc, and instead getting behind the cause as one going forward, even if its as a 'silent majority'. Our biggest enemy is not management (they are simply doing their job), its our disunity.

Pointing it out is like trying to break the stockholm syndrome. But maybe the laughing stock phrase is a bad tactic? What do you suggest?

Not a surprising post from you. No one is responsible for their own actions or decisions, it's everybody elses fault. Most of those guys left the legacies that have now out paced us because they were chasing the money that was being made during COVID and thought it would be years before the pax industry recovered. Their guess was wrong.

Definitely a complete foul on my part to try to understand where half of the membership is coming from. Even more egregious that I would listen to my FOs and try to understand their position. In retrospect, you're right - we'll be much better off if we just give them the finger and move on.
