We built the biggest cargo airline in the world by doing things differently than in the RJ world.

I was at ASA when the only hard requirement to get in the training department was to be a non-member. We called them the Hitler Youth.

Hopefully some of the old guard in both management and ALPA can put this dumpster fire out. My personal Tony Ticker is over 100k.

Well, off to get my COVID booster shot and put my new Blue Dot sticker on my car. Eat your livers, boys......
We should cherry pick best practices from all pilot groups, especially regionals, because they have the most experience dealing with scope issues. Doing things different than in the RJ world is PRECISELY what has placed us in the current position. It's longtime to get rid of the "FedEx way" mindset and embrace the experience from "RJ Capts" or move over and let them steer the ship now.

I also love the Block 1 and 2 folks trying to manipulate our council structure to do their bidding. First through ALPA national. Then through failed resolutions through our block reps.

Hey all, got some info for you. Our COUNCIL structure is that way for a reason. So all our garbage little bases of senior people can't rob the bank. It's like this way at several airlines and has been for decades. We aren't original and block reps vote with the interests of three Memphis blocks in mind or they will find themselves removed. It's very clear why it's set up this way. But the SM people will continue to claim it's corrupt.

Guess what - the council structure isn't the problem folks. It's people trying to get theirs on the back of our contract language. We still need to work here after you bail in a year.

Awesome, now do a ticker for when all the reps and Pat May said they would step down?

I will help you out, it was the day the TA failed ratification. Was their word not good enough to step down as they proudly proclaimed they would have?

p.s. There were over 500 old guard that said No. There was an equal number on probation who could not vote due to the rush to TA1. There is no old vs new. The true majority, not the sm type, said No. This majority was made up of folks up and down the MSL. It hurts the way you wanted this shoe to drop failed. It is time to move on or you can keep hurting your/our cause.

Facts!

Delivered to him via the last NC. Its obvious that the last NC went into TA1.0 with no real plan outside the pension bump, and proceeded to get rope-a-doped by management with pinkie swears and hushed promises of greater things if they just said yes and signed. I'd really love to know if PM even knew the pattern for which he was supposed to be bargaining. The fact was that not just TC, but a huge majority of rank and file MSL people all kind of went "WTF?" at the first examination.

Now, that TA1 team and the voters who installed him should have been very introspective. The fact that Fedex is now the most regional of the legacies, with subpar work rules, nearly decade old pay rates, laughably obsolete bidding systems and a raft of other things very wrong with our contract means, that even with large improvements in scope, we represent a sub-tier career option in the eyes of the industry. They own that failure through hubris and lack of preparation. All the while in the words of the SCPs, Fedex pilots operate in one of the most challenging operational environments in 121 aviation.
