EMBFlyer to answer your question - There was potentially a ton of harm in showing the membership PM's lipstick on a pig TA 2.0. The company could have shown "just good enough" and we would have been stuck with below inflationary pay raises, a pittance of what's owed in back pay, and concessions we never should have made in the first place.
If you didn't like what is/what happening - organize your friends and use the democratic process to influence change. Just be careful you don't act like the previous regime by canceling meetings to avoid hard votes, elevating your buddies to temporary block rep status, and other shady tactics. It's a bad look when you're trying to unify a pilot group.

The meeting on on August 21 was a status meeting with the NMB, FDX ALPA and FDX management. After that meeting, the NMB set the 9/24-26 dates to resume mediated negotiations.

Negotiating Update 24-05
As you may be aware, on September 3 we received official notification of bargaining dates to occur September 24-26 in Memphis. We anticipate follow-on dates soon. These dates mark a significant opportunity for us to reengage at the negotiating table. "
We will see how motivated the NMB is to push an agreement, but I'm confident that our current team is a significant step up from the bozos that brought us TA2023.

present its proposals to improve the failed agreement." - I would expect zero negotiations. There will be no back and forth.

Looks like easyflyer's post struck a little too close to home for some of our resident SMers. Please continue whining in your echo chamber while the rest of us try to make up for the failures of the previous NC & MEC. So far so good IMO. Keep up the good work everyone.

I read that as FDX ALPA will be presenting its proposals on how to improve the agreement. Next session, the company provides its counter. To be honest, I'm not sure there is a lot of back and forth at all of these meetings. I know in the past we've had ones where we present our asks, then it's countered at the next date. A good example is the much talked about counter proposal that we didn't wait to see back in April. APC isn't the right place to find this info though. A DART is the only way your gonna get a definitive answer on whether or not there will be back and forth or it will be more like how I mentioned.

Luckily - I have time to fix the collosal corruption we just witnessed. You, not so much as it sounds. Maybe next time you and your chums don't try and rob the bank on the way out the door. Mmmmkay?

Then what was the harm in waiting a week, seeing it and then all 12, with a UNIFIED...nay...ALL IN...voice saying "This sucks. We're done."?
I think that MIGHT have looked a little better to the NMB.
Disclaimer: Junior guy here, concerned about his job, but also not his first rodeo.

However, perception is EVERYTHING with the NMB. I think it would have looked different if the MEC had spoken with a unifed voice.
