Wilson Says: What's really happening new MEC

B-777 update from Aug. 6 tells me that Captain's put on too much gas and the usual suspects continue to do it. Ironically, they probably don't start the APU until the final W&B ACARS arrives even in the middle of summer because the "yes sir" indoctrination still controls their decision making. The ALPA chapter at any regional is better than this dumpster fire thanks to certain retards who don't know anything other than FX after their first "career". This company culture will take decades to fix. This place has serious ****ing issues.

The fact that you have to ask speaks volumes. This is not even something that should take brain power. Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean much to those that experience it on a WEEKLY basis.

The awesome stache complements my skinny pants and custom shirt that is two sizes too small so it shows off my awesome guns. I use the same gel on the stache that I use on my spiked hair. Chicks dig me and maybe some dudes.

On which fleet are you saying this happens on a weekly basis?

It doesn't really say anything. Some people like it warmer or cooler than others. I've never flown with someone that sweat it out just to save the company a dime. In that couple occasions that I've noticed it warmer than I like, I've asked and never got pushback.

I might steal this idea. Although I’ve found myself starting the APU immediately the last couple years for some reason. Maybe it’s my age showing.

Just in case any captains need 100% clarity here: if it’s anywhere near 30C in the cockpit you should have started the APU as soon as you got up the stairs. Air cart or no cart. You shouldn’t need to ask the FO if they are comfortable. No one is comfortable in that situation.

Plus, the corp. wants us well rested and comfortable so that we operate safely. Early APU is important for Safety and to minimize Fatigue.
Logbook, interior safety check, start APU, trashbag. Works every time. Unless it is exactly 70ºF in the cockpit, then I might delay the start.
