The crybabies were the SM, iirc. “Tony Ticker…” “oh let me wipe my tears away with $100’s because some millennial took my pension bump.” Daddy, chill.

Pretty sure the vocal no voters all agreed— we’d wait as long as possible. For the good of the pilot group. Senior members take note.

If it takes time, a strike, whatever to get our compensation industry competitive then so be it. Accepting well below our peers would have left us starting from behind for decades.

Another minor detail - this management has made it pretty clear that without better scope they'll be taking a lot of people's hourly rates to zero.

The previous posters were correct that the old regime failing to step aside gracefully after failing miserably cost the balance of the lost time.

I'm not a math major but I'm pretty sure that the silent majority was not, in fact a majority - and there are fewer every day. It's time to shut up and get on board.

I am guessing you were hoping for TA 1.1 which never stood a chance. The real blame for delay was the failure of the minority to accept reality and move forward.

Louder for those in the back!

Fedex ALPA once again, proving this is the weakest pilot group in the industry bar none. We cannot/will not win so long as half our number are willing to screw over the other half just so they can have more. We have people wishing that we were back at the table with the same negotiating team that thought trading away multiple soft money opportunities and quality of life provisions to get a paltry increase in a retirement benefit was not only a good idea but something to be proud of and brag about. The culture here is broken and sad. No brotherhood no fraternity just a collection of independent contractors who will rationalize anything for a few more dollars in their own pockets. Anyone reading this and considering joining this group (if there is indeed another opportunity) think about this long and hard.

Any other group and we would have a horde of unenthused pilots making the choice to guard their personal time jealously and unwilling to even consider anything that had anything to do with taking less than their peers. Yet not here. No sir here its we're mad because we should have accepted the company's substandard offer even in the face of billion-dollar buybacks and dividend increases. This group watches our management team lay off good people who carried this company to stratospheric profits and all they can say is too bad. Meanwhile that same management team is coming for their own brothers and sisters jobs and they truly just DGAF. Still whining and complaining about what they didn't get.

I was vocally against TA1 and the sycophantic mealy-mouthed groveling "negotiating" that spawned it. I'm even more hardline in the face of the management team’s "reorganization" so they can give more money to people who sat of their fat assess and perused their stock portfolio, while watching Netflix, and having their BS delivered to them by team "save the world" aka drugged sprayed, shot up, and quarantined.

You can do whatever you want but for this voter its gonna take a whole lot before im ready to lock arms and go the extra mile for again. Fool me once.

Raj, JD and company negotiators are pouring more whiskey and are on their second box of Cuban cigars.
If it was soooooooooo great of an offer, the company has no limitations to send it over at anytime to the union.

B.S. was called and clearly we see for good reason. We press on.

It is quite interesting that we/you would place such identifiers like “cabal”. Yet, we euphemize our comments when addressing the company’s part in this.

The argument that we should have seen the company’s offer glosses over the fact that if the offer was truly something to be proud of the company would have posted it (I.e. look, see we are being reasonable). If they can post a lucrative (/s) offer to go to not the lowly AA but PSA then surely they could post the offer that was so great.

So you do you, but my Cabal speak for me!

Cutler’s cabal of level-headed MEC reps didn't even have control of the MEC or NC until just recently.

PM was NC chair up until this year. Wasted three years of time at the table, over 1000 days, just to put us in a worse position than square one by allowing so many concessions.

The Cutler Cabal speaks for me. My loyalty is to this profession, to the pilot next to me, and to leaving this career a better place than it was when I began.

By the end of Oct 23, 8 of the current 14 block reps were in place. That is a majority.

By early Dec 23, 10 of the current 14 reps were in place. LEC 26 could have been quicker if the previous reps in that LEC would have called a meeting or resigned. However, it doesn't take close to a majority of members to force a meeting and that meeting has to happen fairly quickly if called. If there was such a majority of engaged pilots in that LEC, it would have been easy to do.

With 8 or 10 of the current block reps, things could have moved forward smoothly, however, that didn't happen. Recalls kept happening until there were at least 8 people who agreed with TC. IMO, TC wanted to be the power broker and was willing to delay and stall until he got his way.

In March, the current block reps said that negotiations could resume with little delay. That isn't happening. Why?

The MEC now must convince the NMB that they aren't wasting their time with mediated negotiations. Do you think the NMB will be on board with a massive new direction to what has already been accepted by this MEC?

Time will tell, but let's not fall into the trap of blindly following this new MEC. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't support them, but we can't disengage and not keep their feet to the fire again. We must remember that we are the union.

I'm glad your cabal speaks for you. Your cabal never once put up a motion to remove PM. So in the year since the failed TA your cabal never tried to remove PM and as soon as they could, 2 days after our union voted to send a new supposal to the conpany, they threw a bomb on the table askin to be released from mediation causing a 6 month stall.
