^^^^This is why we should have given up the A plan for new hires in 2015 for a larger A plan for those already on the property.
How will a larger B fund work out for those with less than 10 years until retirement go?
How much would you have to save to get a guaranteed $169,000 for life?
Given the plan mentioned above, the senior guys would be better off staying, getting medical insurance, making over $400,000 per year, taking 2.5 months off with vacation while whittling down their disability bank. Yeah, stagnation for another 4+ years will show them .

By your own math
You would've retired for an extra $39k if TA1 was signed.
You made $400k in the year since TA1 failed.
That's 10 years of increased retirement in one year. If that's what you were waiting for, it's a no brainer to retire now.

Lets see, Life projection is maybe 80. So if your retire at 60 and life to 80,,that 38K is 780,000. And a 400K income is not takehome after taxes so not even close.

I have at least one more contract, probably two until I retire.
I never said I made $400,000. What I said is if your plan was followed and there was no increase in the A plan and we got Delta rates, that there is a very good chance that a majority of pilots would stay for the extra salary rather than retire. Make over $100,000 more a year with a senior schedule, vacation and medical insurance, or retire with the same pension and a bonus.
By your math, an extra $390,000 over ten years wouldn't be worth retiring, so what kind of bonus would you suggest to get pilots to retire before they had to?
Don't pilots on here preach about time value of the pension?

The tentive agreement was the beast deal for any pilot on a global scale. This made the FedEx pilot the best compunsated on the planet. No other airline on earth had an agreement with a $1700,00 pension and some of the work purks we got. It saddens me you petulent kids don’t see it.
