Same, would allow me to give another airline a shot and see where the grass is greener in a couple years.

You have an odd sense of reality. Bitter sir? Were you harmed in some way by the FedEx USPS contract? Mail didn't show up? "Snatched" you say. Business savy I say.

Really? Yep, I'd much rather be unemployed than have a reduced paycheck? "Languish" under 4a2b, not 4a2c. You look at any of whats going on in the airline industry? Hiring is down. You pretty much missed the wave and with the large numbers of 20-30 year olds hired, you'll be junior forever. But go ahead, jump.

A furlough would take us out of 4a2b/c and give the company more scheduling flexibility.

Entry into 4a2c would probably be much more restrictive to the company than a furlough.

There is no restriction for draft or extra flying while pilots are on furlough.

Again, I don't think we will furlough, however, it is always good to have a plan.
If you've been in this industry long enough to see a furlough, it's an unwritten rule as a member of a union to not fly anything extra when your brothers are on the street.

RS said at the town hall that orange freight would replace usps freight and be more profitable. I mean RS talked it up for like 30 plus minutes. Later on in the Q&A JB was asked about a realignment bid and manning, JB started talking about reduced freight, then RS quickly corrected him, that orange freight thingy was going to replace usps freight. I mean, the circus was in town, and it was free. It was a comedy show. All the while PD sat on his stool like a party pooper. Such a disgrace. Bottom of the list? Yeah I would jump ship and not look back.

But yet while we had record loads during contract negotiations, our , "brother" pilots worked overtime, padded their pockets and are now looking at a TA that they won't get. "Unity" my ass. Where's TC now with is words of wisdom? He's headed out the door.

Hiring is indeed slowing. Delta is only gonna hire 1100 this year. I'm not worried about my employability in this market. I AM worried about 3-5 negotiating cycles where we are stuck 10-15% behind the other carriers all because we're scared about manning and are trying to incentivize retirements.

Sure let them put together a buyout, but I'm not voting yes on anything that asks me to work at a discount.

Oh, I am aware of the unwritten rules. But what happens if we are still in negotiations at the time? Many on here have advocated that they must take draft or they will be participating in an illegal job action.
