UPS ability to win contracts and manage freight is not to be underestimated. Their entire existence started with ground shipping.

which is why they're going to hire 340 pilots in the next twelve months to handle all of the "unprofitable" flying they just assumed from a company that has a cheaper, non unionized ground shipping network.

It seems like it literally took our management fumbling the bag for them to get it. Embarrassing.
Unless..... maybe it was intentional?
If it was intentional, what's the planned path forward?
Do we shift to become more of an ACMI?
or are they going to DHL-ify this whole company and work towards contracting out most, if not 100% of all of air operations?
Our weak scope is really starting to bite us in the a** for sure.

Worst part is, someone is going to be stupid enough to assume that's true.

Or do you believe that if they say something repeatedly it has to be true?
Management has also repeatedly said that TA2023 was fair even though they would have been popping bottles on hacks cross had it passed.
The reality is that they either intentionally let the contract go or they more likely failed to sit down with USPS and figure out what USPS really wanted from them going forward. However it sounds like UPS did, and now they're going to be hiring almost 10% of their pilot group in 12 months to cover the additional flying that was formerly done by us....
If you want to help management sell their narrative of "this is a win, or at least a wash" for FedEx, go right ahead. But the reality is: they blew it, big time.

"Tricolor" sounds like a new shift to answering your ACMI question regarding a few strategies. Orange and white is a guess and you now have an imbedded ACMI fellow. Hmmm, interesting to say the least.
