It’s not just the TA. It’s DRIVE, it’s seeing many of the reasons you came here no longer an option (FDA), it’s toxic pilot culture, it’s a borderline unprofessional relationship between management and union, it’s the good ole boys club of Collierville mentality. It’s lack of quality bases. It’s the difficult flying we do for discount wages. It’s several months pending expense reports. It’s the hotels, it’s hearing our foreign partners aren’t growing, when in fact they are. It’s, on and on and on.
It’s not just the TA, but it certainly revealed to many what this job really is. People are leaving and yes, they are certainly happy elsewhere. Even with the loss of seniority.
Go ahead and wish them ill-will, because that’s what helps you rationalize your career choices and helps you sleep better at night. They’ll be just fine.

The predictability of Stan’s responses would be comical if it weren’t so pathetic.
Stan’s APC Checklist:
- Read a hurtful truth about FedEx.
- Claim the statement is untrue without providing any supporting information.
- Get proven wrong again by multiple respondents.
- Dismiss the issue at hand entirely and resort to personal attacks.

[QUOTE=ogarmyopar;3769705]Shocking? Not sure why you ask that? This has nothing to do with my question about recent NOQs. I am just trying to get past the pointless personal attack tennis match and actually understand more about the NOQ topic that continues to come into this discussion but no one seems to have any real facts about it. 318 has made some "interesting" claims but has gone quiet. Baseless/rumor? More to the story? Anyone have any substance on this? Otherwise this match will never get past deuce.

this 100% happened. It was corrected and changed after the outrage but it happened and that’s all you need to know about this company.
And don’t worry you beautiful purple bleeding memphis loving bubba I’m working on ways out as we speak because unfortunately guys like you have let this place become so stale and industry trailing this is no longer a desirable place to work. You would need 3 home run TA’s to fix all the issues this place has and we can’t even hit a double on the first one.

This seniority list has lost a lot of good people. And a bad system will beat a good person every time.

You are correct, it wasn’t firing, it was a forced resignation of a pilot who was on probation. Practically the same thing. Union was no help, go figure.

it was only a matter of time before the pilots working under these conditions stood up and said enough is enough. not you. because these concessions clearly don’t apply to you.
over the course of my 22 year career here, we have horse traded ourselves out of QOL, and we still make less than our counterparts.
for some odd reason, you can’t see the obvious. actually, the reason isn’t that odd. you want an increase in the pension because you are set to retire soon, but all these years and contracts you weren’t willing to fight for a pension bump. you voted YES on all those contracts, which increased the pension zero dollars.
and now you’re mad because you finally got the pension bump (well below inflation adjustments) in a TA that was voted down due to even more ridiculous concessions.
Tell us again how the TA was going to pass. and how you were LOL at those who said it wouldn’t.

And so will you get another 5 years.
The only people who got screwed at FX by the change from 60 to 65 were the guys who had captain bids taken away when there was a new bid to bring back the over 60 guys on the panel. Everyone else gets another 5 years of income and longevity.

That’s the thing, you have been inside the FedEx think tank for so long, you don’t know any better. It’s really okay, it’s not your fault. Since the dysfunction of FedEx is your normal, you assume all other jobs are experiencing the same thing you are. It’s different elsewhere, and for the better. And there are many more like you among the group at purple.

Its a contract job. a union job. meaning we have a say in how this job is performed. and for far too long guys like you have agreed to negative terms for a cost of living pay bump. to the point where if you aren’t in the top 25 percent of your seat, the work rules are not only onerous, but detrimental to your health. (although the top 25 percent aren’t immune, either.)
