In the words of Baby Billy:

"Go outside, nerd. Get out! Go! I ain't got time to be distracted by your worthless chime ins."

You and many others already got an extra five years.

Respectfully, you (or any of us) don’t have the right to work until age 67 as a part 121 pilot. That’s a clearly established regulation and the only reason anyone considered changing it is because a random senator from TN with no education or background in aviation thought it was a wonderful idea. However, in the interest of safety, our union lobbied against it.

Did they fight against your right to those benefits?

Part of being in a union is realizing that everyone is in the union! Luckily this blatant ageism was not overtly part of the failed TA1
Oh, I agree. The 25K, which few remember, was a total scam. I didn't qualify for the 2015 exit bonus either.

My extra 5 years was spent in the right seat.

There is no safety issue. That is a lie. If there was, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand would have found it by now.

This is ALPA taking the side of junior pilots against older.

Age discrimination, plain and simple.

"My" union, fighting against me, instead of in favor of me.

Despicable.

The only people who want to work until 67 are the ones that have zero life outside this place. Being a FedEx pilot is their entire identity. Get a hobby and some friends.

The ageism argument is nonsense driven by folks who only care about it as a principle when it pertains to them. I mean you gotta be 23 years old to get an ATP. Yet you wont find a bunch of 67 year olds decrying that as age discrimination.

They don't want to work until 67. What they really want is to maintain their high 6 figure incomes and extensive vacations benefits and preferable schedules for as long as possible because of reasons. It is transparently cynical especially in light of the scores of pilots who came before them. Those same folks would gleefully hand you a bag full of concessionary language that their senoirty innoculates them from or who will be gone off to their golden years when that language takes effect. It is little wonder the that the septagenarians and octogenearians running our country would now find sempathy with their pleadings.

My comment (100 Continue) about 318's post:
Something isn't adding up here. It appears you know the guy who resigned based on your earlier post. So he was placed in NOQ status, but you don't know why? There has to be more to the story. He didn't just get placed on NOQ for no reason. If "said vocal no voter" just left to avoid dealing with a kangaroo court, then perhaps the company had something on "said vocal no voter?"

There seems to be several folks in NOQ status right now related to social media posts and processes. I am just trying to understand what they allegedly did. The Block 5 rep is still NOQ. There have been a lot of "likely" and "I believe" comments about him coupled with many crew bus rumors. Has anyone actually talked to him to get the facts as to why he is NOQ? Did he take the post down from JF due to legal advice or did he have second thoughts and did it via his own free will? One of his vocal supporters is NOQ as well. Was it misuse of VIPs perhaps? Seems like a lot of finger pointing and conspiracy theories in all these actions but absolutely ZERO accountabily.
Wondering what happened to 318? He seems to have gone dark. Does anyone know why this "vocal no voter" supposedly resigned. Perhaps JackRyan knows something since he brought up the witch hunt comment? Just trying to get a better understanding since the NOQ topic continues to come up.

why is any of this shocking to you. This is the same place that was firing pilots over the phone when the company received pria records requests while telling us we are overstaffed. This place is toxic and run more like a regional than a career destination.

And so will you get another 5 years.

The only people who got screwed at FX by the change from 60 to 65 were the guys who had captain bids taken away when there was a new bid to bring back the over 60 guys on the panel. Everyone else gets another 5 years of income and longevity.
